Challenge time. I think I'm sweet at holding my breath. Try it, odds are that you have a Garmin GPS on your wrist. Those come with stopwatches. See how long you can go. It's a good indication of aerobic capacity. Post results below.

48.3 for the first time, then I did 1:11.4. I don't anticipate that these times will hold up.

1:01 for my first time. Let my heart settle, and got 1:41.24 the second time. I think two attempts seems to be the route to take. I'm okay with that time. I have the pulse of an olympic swimmer, but I'm in terrible shape currently. I'll try again in a few months after training.

2:06.49. I'd say I'm probably about as aerobically fit as I've ever been.

Yes we want a video.

And 2:03.45. After 10 minutes of laying down and trying to control my breathing.

I changed my mind about the video.

All you need to do to hold your breath for a really long time is to purge your lungs of CO2 before you hold your breath. To do this, you just blow as hard as you can really quickly for about a minute (note: the feeling you get while doing this sucks and is far worse than actually holding your breath). Then just take a really deep breath and go. Do this and I guarantee you that you will significantly improve that time.

4:11.

Felt pretty sick afterwards... but this was about 3 years ago. I haven't wanted to try again since then.

And an indicator of aerobic fitness? I'm not so sure about that.

My favorite thing about this is how the OP felt it necessary to explain that, in a pinch, your watch can be used as a watch.

Interpersonal relations time. I haven't seen my parents in awhile. Odds are that you have an Angry Birds handheld console device in your pocket. Those can make phone calls. Call your mom just to say 'hi'.

1:26.1, then after a few minutes a 2:15.6, And I doubt that 4:00 one. I was struggling pretty hard towards the end, there's no way I could go for twice that.

If you knew Bert Harrison, you wouldn't doubt the 4:00.
