Brandon finished 6th in a stacked race at PreNats, 2nd in arguably the toughest conference in the PAC-10, and also finished 7th at the regional. The road hasn't be the smoothest though as he transferred from Wisconsin in the summer of 2008 and was forced to sit out. This past weekend the Blue Devils women the Southeast Region by a comfortable 43 points while moving up to #14 in the national rankings. This week they'll head to Terre Haute with a young squad that could surprise some people. Look out for these ladies to crack that top 5 again over the next few years. Timing, maturity and ending on a positive note are things he stresses. If all goes well, possible national contender in 2011?? Watch the fall workout with Kevin's Duke Blue Devil Team Warhurst On What's Common In The Best Athletes [Video] This is a piece from an interview we did a while back with Ron Warhurst that I thought would be good for people to think about going in to Championship Race season. The ability to race and be mentally ready to perform is an important piece to success, especially at the end of a season. People may be fatigued, more mentally than physically, but you have to trust your body and believe you can compete to the best of your ability. Michigan coach Ron Warhurst talks about this ability that is found in some of the most successful athletes. NCAA Tailgate And Prediction Contest [Video] The NCAA Cross Championships are back and so is the NCAA Tailgate with Saucony and Flotrack! Starting on Saturday we'll be up in Terre Haute bring pre-race coverage, course previews, and more. This year, starting today, we'll be putting on an NCAA Prediction Contest. Predict the top 5 men, the top 5 women, both men and women's team champions, and the winning team scores. The winner will receive $250 in certificates to purchase gear at Saucony.com! See details below and get your picks in... Guidelines for the contest: - Pick the top 5 men and top 5 women finishers in the correct order (10 points) - Pick the winning men's and women's team (2 points) - Pick winning team score for both men and women (2 points) - Each correct answer is a point, with a perfect score being 14 points Tie Break Procedure: - In the event of multiple people's points resulting in a tie, (1) the person picking the most winning teams will win, and then (2) the one with the closest absolute point differential for each team. If identical predictions are made, the person who submitted their picks first wins. All predictions must be submitted by November 23rd at 10am CST. |
