You should definitely be able to delete/edit a post that you've previously made.

But couldn't that make for problems if you can change what you have said in a post?

Well anyone weak enough to change the actual meaning of a previous post should not be posting here. But as long as when you edit that it is made very clear below your post that you have done so, something like:

EDITED 2 TIMES, LAST EDIT 11/30/05 12:09AM

In big capital letters, this would stand out and discourage rampant editing. Hopefully this feature wouldn't be used much (it is not used much on our team's forums, but it is used occasionally), but often you notice something in a previous post, like a stat or something, that was incorrect or misleading and you want to change it. Then again, you can always make another post I guess. How do other people feel about this?

like just now I reread my post and want to add "...it is used occasionally and is often very useful)," but can't. Maybe that is my fault for not rereading my post before posting. I'll leave that to you to decide.

You're probably right... Maybe we just use a pre-made forum and intergrate it into r2w. This has been a thought from the start. Anyway, I have added this to my list and will do it as soon as I can. Life is a little crazy right now so adding things is very hard to do.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for taking suggestions. It's what makes this site so great. I'm trying to get my entire team to join up. We'll see what happens...

i dont think that you need to go as far as to use a pre made forum. then again i dont know how hard it is to add a edit button

I think you're right... Plus, adding an edit screen isn't that bad anyway. I'll get to it soon...

also i think that having your own forum makes it kind of stand out instead of using a premade one. just my opinion
