i was reading these post and found alot of good answers. I just started back into running heavy i have always ran 1-3 miles at a time. well know i am doing 6-10 at a time. my concern is i dont want to give up muscle mass. does anyone have a good answer on how i could do this. i run about now on average 40-45 miles a week which is not alot after reading this post but hey its a step up for me. i would appreciate some in put

Lift weights 2-3 times a week.

Eat meat. 1g protein per lb bw.

That should keep your muscle mass up.
